New shows and SXSW!

First off, a huge thank you to everyone who came out to our CD release! Such a great time. If you weren’t able to make it, there will be videos online soon, and there’s plenty of photos and a writeup of the evenings events over at Doobious.org! So go check that out!

We’re playing a few local shows to send us off to SXSW!

3/9/12 - Fallen Arrows Party! (840 Dekalb Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30307) - 7 PM -Admission is $10, and half of the proceeds go to the Upper Chattahoochee Riverkeeper. Lots of games and fun stuff going on. Food, beer, and LIMITED EDITION merch! That’s right! A DMATWD shirt you’ll only be able to get at THIS show! So come get yourself one and party with us! - w/ Muleskinner McQueen, and Little Horn
3/10/12 - House Show - DETAILS TBA

Wow. What a crazy feeling… This thing that we spent 3 weeks creating, while we were cooped up in a beautiful cabin, living off of ramen noodles, peanut butter, frozen stir fry, and cheap beer, shooting BB guns in the rain, where we tried to shake our post-tour blues and ended up with cabin fever, yeah, that thing we did during THOSE 3 weeks… It’s officially out today, and in your hands. Weird.

We loved making this. Enjoy.

Next Tuesday our new record “Lungs, Dirt & Dreams” will be released by Adair Park Recordings! We’re all really excited to get this record in your hands! You can preorder it on our BandCamp and get an instant download of the first two singles, and then on the 21st, you’ll be e-mailed the rest! Check it out here!

We have a few local shows coming up (info below), including our CD Release (which is now a TRIPLE CD RELEASE!), and also a rare appearance in Dahlonega, GA! We’ll be releasing dates for a few more local shows soon, as well as our SXSW 2012 dates!

A big thank you to everybody who came out to any of the shows on this tour! We made lots of new friends all over the coast! Adam Gnade leaves ATL tonight to head back to Kansas, so we’re sending good vibes his way for a safe return home.

So, important and unfortunate tour update… We learned this morning that Amtrak has closed some of it’s train stations due to Irene. Adam Gnade had booked a train ticket to join us here in Atlanta on Thursday, a day before tour starts, but due to the train stations being closed, he won’t be able to join us until we get to DC. So, for the Atlanta, Charlotte, Greensboro, and Richmond shows, unfortunately, Adam won’t be joining us. We’re all way bummed out about this, but the shows will go on, and we’ll pick up with Adam in DC! We’re gonna do everything we can to get Adam back to the South East again in the near future to do some shows in these cities!

Once again, here’s the dates as they stand. By the way, Chapel-Hill, NC - you’re a beast to book a show in. If you know someone there, get in touch with Gentry! (popvulturepress@gmail.com) Okay, we’ll see you guys soon!

Just a few days left...

Just a few days! We kick off tour this Friday in ATL, and Adam Gnade leaves tomorrow morning via train to head East from Kansas to meet us here in Atlanta. We’re all super excited about this tour. We’ve got some new merch this time out as well. A few limited run bleach/ink Armadillo T shirts, the DMATWD/Gnade Split Cassette, and limited run hand screened tour posters!

We’re still trying to figure out something for a show in Chapel-Hill, NC. If you can help out, please get in touch with Gentry at popvulturepress@gmail.com and he’ll figure something out!

Friends and family on the East Coast, we hope you’re all okay after crazy Irene. Hold tight, we’ll see you all in a few days!
